If you haven't already seen Life Aquatic or Sideways don't fucking bother. I think these are the worse movies I have seen in years. For real.

The hype and recommendations that these movies got have severely damaged my faith in people and their intelligence.

Ahahaha! I smell a rant from objet_a coming on.

I haven't seen either movie, but I REALLY want to see The Life Aquatic. I am a big Wes Anderson fan, so I suspect I would be forgiving of it if it were lacking somewhat.

He can rant all he likes.

I did like Angelica Houston in it, but probably only because I could see myself in that character, and I can be terribly vain.

I LOVE dry humor... dark humor... didn't have either.

Oh, those movies are both great. The Life Aquatic may be Wes Anderson's poorest film yet, but it's still better than 95% of the crap out there.

Barf... I can honestly say that I feel that both movies had a great amount of potential, but just watching them was a terrible dissapointment, especially considering they were supposed to be SO DAMN GOOD.

There's a lot of crap, but at least I know it's crap ahead of time. These two tricked me.

Agree.

The Life Aquatic was a fantastic film, although I expected to hate it.

Found that it was a quirky ode to adventure films and a wonderfully upbeat treatise about capturing the impossible.
